Really terrific evening over at Expressions to enjoy the two bands, KOKOMO from Tauranga and Wellington's NEIL WORBOYS AND THE REAL TIME LINERS. It was well supported with about 90. This show was part of UPPER HUTT'S annual QUEENS BIRTHDAY Jazz and Blues Festival.

PENTECOST SUNDAY
The spirit is symbolised by the greek word pneu (air) the breathe of life. This is recognised as the birthday of the Church when Christianity commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, fifty days after the resurrection. The Spirit represents God as living and active in the world today
One way of recovering a sense of spiritual presence is to let the Spirit speak to you through the medium of your own memory. Your dreams, your hopes, your visions of the future, the still small voice of conscience, all these can become channels through which the Spirit is available to us. The Spirit is no stranger in our midst; in fact, the Spirit is moving in a mysterious way through the room where you are sitting right now. Today the Spirit of God blows like the wind through the streets of your city; it gathers like a storm, brooding and blowing across the face of this whole earth.
A wintery blast this afternoon, light snow falling here at home with temperature of 4 degrees. Dropped Emily at airport by 5.30pm for her return to London. Christine had here first evening preparing and serving the evening meal at Te Omanga Hospice
